Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle
Custom Exterior Bronze Stations of the Cross
San Juan, TX

Rohn & Associates Design created the life-size bronze Stations of the Cross and outdoor Catholic sacred art installation at the Basilica of San Juan del Valle in San Juan, Texas. From the original concept through the finished bronze castings, the team oversaw the project's development, integrating Catholic bronze sculptures with liturgical design to enhance pilgrim devotion.

Set in a serene garden, the 30 bronze figures bring the scenes to a human scale, making them more immediate and relatable to visitors. Extending along a 3/4-mile path, the Stations lead pilgrims through Christ’s Passion and His journey to the Cross. These custom Catholic statues are complemented by natural elements such as local flora, thorn bushes, rough-hewn rock, and oak crosses, creating a peaceful setting for prayer and reflection.
