Chapel at the Good Shepherd Home of the Aged
Wheeling, WV
Rohn Design completed a Gothic-inspired liturgical redesign for the Chapel at the Good Shepherd Home of the Aged, creating a sacred space that is accessible, unified, and deeply comforting to residents. The renovation focused on blending functionality with the beauty of Catholic tradition and Gothic architectural style.

The team designed custom liturgical furniture—including the altar, ambo, and tabernacle throne—using White Carrara and Rosso Impero marble, selected for their noble quality and enduring presence. Furniture was thoughtfully adapted for elderly users with ADA accessibility and special devotional areas such as the Oil of the Sick, Book of Memory, and Book of Intentions. The project also included the restoration of a priceless set of Stations of the Cross to their former glory.

This carefully executed renovation honors both Church and diocesan guidelines while meeting the spiritual and practical needs of the community it serves.
