Divine Mercy Catholic Parish
Sacred Art, Murals & Liturgical Art Program
Blackstone, MA

Rohn Design developed and executed a liturgical art program featuring custom murals and sacred artwork for Divine Mercy Parish in Blackstone, Massachusetts, uniting three parishes into one vibrant community.

The centerpiece is a newly completed retablo depicting the Divine Mercy of Christ, flanked by Pope John Paul II and St. Faustina Kowalska, with God the Father above surrounded by angels. Two side shrine murals portray Sts. Zelie and Louis Martin and Sts. Monica and Ambrose, bringing the saints and their witness to Christian family life, faith, and perseverance into the church.

Artist Renate Rohn restored the statue of St. Thérèse and the crucifix above the sanctuary, preserving important elements of the parish’s heritage. Large church murals illustrating key moments in the life of St. Paul were recently installed, from his conversion on the road to Damascus to his final days in prison.  Together, the murals offer parishioners a powerful reminder of conversion, courage, and fidelity to Christ.
