Our Lady of Częstochowa Catholic Church
Sacred Art Restoration & Liturgical Design
Worcester, MA
Rohn & Associates completed a Catholic church mural restoration and liturgical design project at Our Lady of Częstochowa Catholic Church in Worcester, Massachusetts, a historic Polish Catholic parish. The work focused on sacred art restoration and Catholic church mural conservation centered on Eucharistic iconography.
The project addressed the sanctuary apse mural, originally part of a broader liturgical master plan. Restoration work removed aged varnish, surface darkening, and prior decorative additions that had obscured the original composition.
Conservation efforts restored the mural’s sacred imagery. The artwork draws attention to the Blessed Sacrament and Christ truly present in the Eucharist at the heart of the sanctuary.
The restored apse mural enhances the devotional character of the sanctuary while respecting the church’s Polish Catholic heritage and historic interior.
A future phase will include Catholic church lighting design updates to better support the liturgical function of the sanctuary and the presentation of the restored sacred art.
