Rohn & Associates Liturgical Design was commissioned to create a new Catholic chapel within the oncology center at St. Vincent Hospital—an intimate sacred space offering spiritual comfort, healing, and the enduring presence of faith. Designed to serve Catholic patients, families, and caregivers, the chapel supports both private devotion and Eucharistic celebration during life’s most vulnerable moments.

The space features new liturgical furnishings in Carrara marble, including altar, tabernacle, and ambo, along with custom marble flooring, warm finishes, and energy-efficient lighting. Sacred murals depict the Blessed Mother with the Child Jesus and St. Peregrine, patron saint of those with cancer. A hand-carved bas-relief of Our Lady of Sorrows, finished in 23-karat gold leaf, invites prayer and Marian intercession. Every element works in harmony to reflect the beauty and dignity of Catholic worship within a hospital setting.
