Saint Agnes Cathedral
Renovation, including Liturgical Design, Furnishings, Statuary & Flooring
Rockville Centre, NY

The Rohn team developed a comprehensive church renovation plan for St. Agnes Cathedral. Our liturgical design work included sanctuary space formation, custom church flooring, interior decoration and finishes, marble and wood liturgical furniture, and statue restoration.

Following decades of changes that diminished the sacred atmosphere, the renovation reestablished the cathedral’s visual focus and restored its original sense of dignity. We collaborated closely with diocesan leadership to design a worship space that highlights the custom Catholic altar, ambo, baptismal font, and presider chair while providing clear sightlines and enhancing participation in the sacred liturgies.

Key features include a beautifully painted oak baldachin with frescoed saints, a restored Pietà sculpture, thoughtfully designed marble flooring, and updated church lighting and audiovisual systems that respect the historic architecture while supporting modern liturgical needs.
