Shrine of St. Padre Pio Catholic Church

San Antonio, TX

Rohn & Associates Design designed the sanctuary floor plan and new liturgical furnishings at the Shrine of St. Padre Pio in San Antonio, Texas. Thousands of pieces of white Carrara marble were transformed into altars, a tabernacle throne, credence tables, a Blessed Sacrament chapel altar, ambo, and reredos.

The furnishings were repurposed from the original altars of the Chapel of the Incarnate Word, generously donated by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. This project preserved the beauty and rich tradition of historic Catholic liturgical elements while creating a functional and worship-ready space for the parish community.
