St. Francis Motherhouse Chapel
Renovation & Restoration, including Liturgical Design, Furnishings, Statues, Sacred Art & Lighting
Millvale, PA

Rohn & Associates Design completed the complete liturgical design and chapel restoration of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities Chapel in Millvale, Pennsylvania. At the heart of the transformation is liturgical art: a custom sanctuary apse mural depicting the Life of St. Francis of Assisi, created by our in-house studio team.

The sanctuary design brought together a restored reredos, new tabernacle, marble liturgical furnishings, and custom Catholic statues of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and St. Francis. The existing Daprato Stations of the Cross were also restored (see our Daprato statue restoration), along with updated church lighting, decorative painting, and stained glass restoration.

Together, these improvements renewed the chapel while preserving its Franciscan character and creating a sacred environment that reflects the Sisters’ mission and devotion.
