Saint Anthony Cathedral Basilica
Interior & Exterior Renovation & Restoration, including Sacred Art, Furnishings & Lighting

Beaumont, TX

Rohn Design led a comprehensive interior and exterior renovation, restoration, and expansion program for this beloved Catholic pilgrimage site.

Our work included liturgical design and updates, restoration of sacred and liturgical artwork and surfaces, lighting design and controls, presbyterium seating, and dedicated shrines for Our Lady and the Reserved Eucharist. Exterior work encompassed bronze doors, a redesigned parking area, plaza, accessibility improvements, and the addition of a public labyrinth. We also reconfigured the sacristy, vesting, and storage areas to better support liturgical functions.

This sacred space, modeled after Rome’s Basilica of San Clemente, endured over a million dollars in damage from Hurricanes Rita and Ike. The updated design honors its historical integrity while welcoming the faithful with renewed beauty and reverence.
