Rohn Design led the full liturgical renovation of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lambertville, New Jersey. This liturgical art and architectural renewal respected the historic French Gothic character of the space while revitalizing it for modern Catholic worship. Inspired by the vision of the New Jerusalem, the project united traditional symbolism with practical upgrades to meet both spiritual and functional needs.

Work included a new Adoration Chapel, leaded stained glass restoration, faux-marble columns and gilded capitals, painted ceilings, refinished floors, custom liturgical furnishings, and updated congregational seating. Every design decision honored the integrity of the architecture while bringing renewed visual theology to the worship environment.

A commissioned sanctuary mural featuring the Lamb of God and Eucharistic pelican reinforces sacramental meaning. Stations of the Cross restoration with gold-leaf detailing, a star-filled apse ceiling, and refreshed shrines of Mary and Joseph enhance the church’s devotional spaces and historic Catholic interior.
